Prayer Corner

Prayer lays hold of God's plan and becomes the link between his will and its accomplishment on earth. Amazing things happen, and we are given the privilege of being the channels of the Holy Spirit's prayer." - Elisabeth Elliot

The Year 2025 is gone, along with all the challenges, disappointments and blessings which we experienced.  Let us begin 2026 with a renewing of our minds.  Romans 12:2 instructions are for us not to conform to this world; but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that you may prove what is good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

We must consider elevating our mind, body, and spirit; have positive thoughts and do not entertain negative thoughts especially if they affect our happiness, success and peace of mind.

May God nourish and invigorate us with good health and strength.  May our 2026 come with peace, compassion, success, generosity, kindness, and abundance for everyone and most of all renew our relationship with God and each other.

I encourage all the sisters of Dorothy Riley #189 to develop more agape love and ask God to endow us with the Power of the Holy Spirit as we move forward in fulfilling the Order of the Eastern Star’s Obligation.

May the Holy Spirit inspire us to develop a Prayer life that draws us closer to our Heavenly Father and each other.  Jesus is our example in Mark 1:35 - “Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, he got up, went out and made his way to a deserted place, and there he was praying”.   We must also take time out to come together and pray. Hebrews 10:24-25 “Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another.

As we move forward with new beginnings in 2026, we must (1) make Prayer a priority, (2) eliminate distractions that might hinder our praying. (3) make a personal commitment to grow in your prayer life.  Let us continue to develop an attitude of gratitude.

God Bless and Keep You Always!
